A seperate portable software is sold. I would prefer it to make it possible to configure Spartan-'HD' to run it portable. This way people still have to buy the product but the have the choice to configure it as a portable.
This is a great idea for someone like yourself who knows what they are doing but imagine the confusion it could cause someone with little knowledge of Windows!
They install to the default location, C:\Program Files, on a Windows 7 setup then they see an option “Run as portable”. They try it – woops – where have all my clips gone. They copy something. Woops – what does “You do not have write access to this folder” mean?
Don't think about it, M8.
The most feral motivation of the human species is to get something free, for no effort.
Portable mean piracy.
If you're going to do it at all, get money out of them for the base version first, then rely on their laziness not to send out the portable to friends and rels.
PS 'separate', 'desperate', Nooky.
